Reports of overly paranoid middle-class types in East Dulwich

Recommended Posts

Please be on the look out for these folk, they can be easily spotted as they will not make eye contact with strangers in the street, suspect anyone not of an anglo-saxon disposition, consider the local council to be in their personal employ and will almost certainly be in possession of at least one infant in a pushchair.

Close but no cigar. And where's the mention of Iceland and yummy-mummy? Better luck next time ;)

Louisa.

All too easy, my work here is done. Davidh flicking through your 11!? pages of postings concerning your petty whines and rants was so sadly depressing I'd have thought you'd welcome some human eye contact, it must get dreadfully boring talking to your pets all the time.

It's those poncey East Dulwich based professional illustrators, who offer a bespoke digital arts/illustration service that really make the place a festering middle class ghetto.

Bet you sport the full Jacques Cousteau hipster look with rolled up jeans too.

Ha ha. A 'professional illustrator' complaining about people being too middle class??

We'll have the Reiki practitioners complaining about hippies next.

I respect the people who go out clearly not giving a shit, arse hanging out of trousers etc. There are still some of those.

When they run their trousers sometimes fall down.

They all sit around with their lap-tops in cafe nero taking up 2 tables. Cafe nero should turn off their wi-fi and they would sell more coffee and stuff. I've given up going in there now- I just stand around outside talking to people who come out because they can't get a seat.

    • I have two pillows we bought to try out - used once or twice - but didn't work out for us. Here's one: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/rosenskaerm-ergonomic-pillow-side-back-sleeper-30444369/ This is the other: https://www.ikea.com/bh/en/p/mjoelkklocka-ergonomic-pillow-side-back-sleeper-60446767/ (they don't stock it in the UK any more - I think) You're welcome to both/either (free). We were going to post them on Freecycle as we're moving and downsizing.
    • I'm looking for a comfortable double (no spring) mattress, a duvet and pillows in good condition. Please get in touch if you have any of these things! 🙂
    • We are talking Sunday not Saturday! Is Saray the one opposite Brockwell Park? Think it is - always quiet when we have been there but we eat early - forgot that one. Thanks. Food was ok not bad not good but staff are nice - that was six  months ago. Ohh excellent as you are a veggie too.. Will check out Dai Due Fratelli - thanks. No Thai I am referring too is up a few shops from Oxfam Book Shop…
    • I think the Italian you are talking about was the old pizza place which is now closed and chicken shop in it's place? There is a nice Thai restaurant called Chern Thai on Grove Vale that should be open at lunchtime Saturday. I am veggie too btw. Peachy Goat in Herne Hill is good, but depends on the ask as it's kinda burgers and pasta and not the cheapest. I tried the Turkish in Herne Hill, Saray, round the corner Saturday before last and will be quiet but the owner is super sweet and it's not expensive. If you are happy with pizza / pasta, you could also do Dai Due Fratelli which is good food, friendly and attentive service at good prices on Lordship Lane.
