Recommendation for Cake Maker

We have ordered two cakes now from Holly at Etiole Bakery and both were absolutely delicious - the design far surpassed our expectations. A while back she made us a christening cake, complete with an icing replica of our daughter's favourite toy on top. Most recently a birthday cake for our son to a spiderman theme. Her service was fantastic, she designed our cakes for us and was very responsive and obliging. It's a small family business and run very professionally. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality she provides. If you need a cake made you should definitely give her a go, the website details are below...

Hi all

I just want to add to this recommendation for Holly at Etoile Bakery. I contacted Holly as I needed to work with a cake maker on a number of catering jobs I am doing for clients (including a 21st birthday party in Kensington) and along the way booked her to do a cake for my son's 4th birthday party, as sadly my own work commitments meant I was too busy to make it myself.

She is incredibly friendly and flexible and with literally only 24 hours notice from me to make a lizard themed cake for my son, delivered a fantastic cake which looked absolutely amazing and tasted fantastic. Really moist and chocolately.

Holly is based quite locally in Clapham and is professionally trained at Le Cordon Bleu. Her prices are reasonable too. Please do give her a call if you need a cake made!

    • End of a wonderful era. We’ve been going since it opened and even started contractions with my oldest (25 year old) son during a lovely New Year’s Eve lunch. Thank you Rod and Tim for some amazing memories.

    • Let's not forget this is the lowest level of local politics. If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
    • They've had 26 years or so of trading, and if anyone deserves decent retirement... In my view they're going out at the top. It's clearly being sold, assuming it all goes through as a very more more than just a going concern.
