After taking a year out to have my 2nd son, I am back and ready to put on more womens boxing beginners courses in Dulwich!!

The 6 week courses were a huge success before , and a lot of you have been badgering me to come back!! For all the ladies who have already attended my beginners or intermediate classes, do not worry I will be running a drop in session for you all.

Over the 6 week course you will learn real boxing techniques, including stance, guard position, punches and combinations. I have trained for 17 years in Thai boxing and traditional boxing, and fought 7 times, twice for British titles. So you will be learning real boxing training not boxercise.

I am hoping to return to the Albrighton centre and classes will be on Saturday , time to be confirmed.

If you are interested please let me know and I will add you to the waiting list.

Many thanks,

Simone

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
