Hi there,

Anyone interested in casual fitness & casual football game on the common?

The weather lately is rubbish and the common is a swamp but in a couple of Sundays it will hopefully improve.

Anyone up for a 10:30 - 11 game till 12am on a sunday?? Drop a line here.

I am recovering from ACL knee surgery so I could do with a gradual easing back into the game with a casual start.

Does anyone know of a casual game on an astro pitch?

Thanks

Excellent for the responses!

ok lets go for next SUNDAY the 9th of February say 11am for a kick around.

Pass the ball around and casual knock around to get the legs moving again.

I`ll bring the ball. Makes sense to meet somewhere fairly easy to congregate at an easy place to meet up.

Shall we meet on the green area between the East Dulwich Road and the Peckham Rye Lane?

If we can get a 3v3 or even a 4v4 casual game going on that would be super.

NO Skill level / Fitness level required. Just casual Sunday morning exercise!

Sounds like a plan?

Hey Hey to you all !!

If the HORRENDOUS weather does not put you off I will be there for the casual kick around!

It has the potential to be quite cold and miserable but if we can keep moving the ball around and manage to find a not so sodden part of the pitch we might be able to kick the ball around.

I will be there with a little HAT + RED jacket + a INTER football.

See you there tomorrow!

Where the hell are you playing? All our boys matches (various Dulwich pitches) have been postponed since the New Year and we are training in standing water. No sign of it improving before spring. If you know of a good local pitch it would be great to know!

    • There was something to do a with a gate in the Brockwell case, I can't recall the detail, but the council removed a gate, which had been gifted in trust to the park, so the festival builders could allow access, or something. And that was illegal and that's what enabled Rylance et al to litigate.
    • How long is the Gala, and potential new event, disruption….this could be key from the article on the High Court challenge against Lambeth…   Under permitted development rules, a temporary change of use is allowed for a total of 28 days each calendar year, but the Brockwell Park festivals run over 37 days and were due to begin on 23 May.
    • Try the castle upstairs, you'd need to buy a few drinks in return.  @Suecan you advise?  It will be in use some Mondays no doubt
    • Yes, I was bemused to see that notice in Barry Road. It seemed a strange place to be having a drop off point.
