So where do people around these parts go to get their locks shorn?

As a ever-greying male my needs are modest and am always happy with Roches at the top of the Lane but have tried other places

There's a new barber's on F Hill Rd, past the post office. It's owned by a man in his 30s, and I have had good haircuts for a tenner, including tip. Better, in my opinion, than the place on N Cross Rd. It's well worth a shot. Nero (but more like grigio these days.)

You can't beat Ken's Barbers on East Dulwich Road, next to The Green. Fantastic hair cut all for ?10.00 including tip, less than half the price I was paying in the City. Ok so you can only understand one word in ten during the time one's in the chair, but that's half the fun.

I had my hair cut there yesterday and Ken was telling me about his holiday in Turkey and that he was looking forward to his 'holiday' on Sunday at Peckham beach - it clearly still amuses him after the millionth time of telling - fantastic!

BTW, worth a visit as well for him showing off his teeth that have been given an overhaul in Turkey and of which he is very proud and smiles broadly and gleamingly at all of his customers.

I too have used Ken's, ever since Keith on Northcross Road retired.....

Ken and his wife are nice and he always gives my youngest a sweetie, so we like him!

There is also a good barbers on Wood Vale, and there is that cool, trendy place on the North Cross Road; they do a really good cut on my boys.
