Hi all.

I'm looking for someone to do a complete overhaul of my bathroom. It is very small (about 1.7m x 2m). The work that needs to be done is quite varied and includes:

Remove current tiles around bath tub.

Remove vinyl and tiles from floor.

Potentially replace the plasterboard of 1.5 walls if it is damaged when the tiles are removed.

Take out boxing around toilet.

Re-tile the walls (to the ceiling around the bath tub and half way up around the rest of the room). The tiles are 150mm square.

Re-tile and seal encaustic tiles on the floor. The tiles are 200mm square.

Install new shower system.

Take out and replace panelling on bath tub.

Re-decorate the remaining wall above tiles and the ceiling.

Paint woodwork.

I am also looking to have the toilet unit boxed in again but with some shelves built in and I'd like to box the sink in so that there is a cupboard underneath. So it would be great if I can find someone who can manage everything but I am equally happy to find a carpenter to do the boxing in after the bathroom has been re-tiled. There are also a couple of small things that need doing such as some pipes that need replacing as they have been painted etc.

If there is anyone who could pop in any evening or over the weekend to take a look and give me a quote I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks!

We had our bathroom overhauled by Dulwich Property Services 07580871257. A very professional job it was too. I would recommend them to any one. Nothing was to much trouble and every evening when we got home it was as if they hadn't been their it was so clean. Very good service.
We've recently had Salmon Carpentry do bathroom, kitchen/diner re-fit and have been incredibly pleased Bathroom was a right mess and had to be take back to brick. Nathan and his brother work with a team of trades and manage it all for you to a very high standard http://www.salmoncarpentry.co.uk

    • I didn't realise that either! I thought it just meant division within communities - religious, racial or otherwise.  Yes, it is frightening. The days of the broad church political party are over.
    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
    • Oh I didn't realised Starmer had used the word. I don't mean they are stirring up division between themselves (ie between Reform and Greens), I mean they are stoking division within communities, and stirring up racial prejudice and religious discrimination. That is sectarianism, in my view.
    • Just to repeat the news I was given – it's not being converted into a pub. As far as I know, there's no intention of dumbing down their restaurant offering.  Although as others have pointed out, Camberwell has two pubs – The Camberwell Arms and now the Michelin-starred Kerfield Arms – with excellent food. The Palmerston used to be the only pub in ED that was of such quality, but sadly no longer IMHO.
