Maybe we shouldn't wish for a Waitrose in place of our Somerfield...

Me too, whether Co-op or Waitrose, has to be better than Somerfield - both good, in different ways.

Is my grammar right there? I fear not :)

Bit of a generalisation I think. Before I lived in my old house I always used Sainsbury's because I thought the frsh stuff was nicer quality than Tesco, but the choice of supermarkets in my small town was limited to Waitrose or Lidl, and so I did use Waitrose and it was nicer quality than Sainsbury's. Customer service was generally better too. I don't watch Nigella on the TV, and I didn't know she shopped in Waitrose either. So now I use Ocado, which is also the best delivery service from what I can make out.

Shopping in Waitrose is almost a pleasant experience - no matter what you think ???? - the choice is superior to any of the other supermarkets, and their own brand is priced on a par with others, and their wine selection is wider and more interesting than others.
when did dulwich become the new chelsea, its unrecognizable what with all these poncy shops and bars. but i do think sommerfeilds should be replaced because its defiantly not in keeping with the surroundings. i thought we were getting a marks and sparks food hall instead we got white stuff......

    • The events section on here isn't that big! There are presently only 20 events on there for the whole of February! It's just taken me about ten seconds to scroll through to see what's on! Also, where did you sign up for this summary email? Is it definitely coming from this forum, as I can't see it mentioned anywhere?
    • I'm a bit confused. You posted less than half an hour ago (as I type) but at the bottom of your post on what seems to be a screenshot dated yesterday evening  it says you found it? If you haven't, can you not contact the charity shop directly in case they still have it?
