Hello lovely people of the forum

So in the morning we will head off to fly 12.5 hours economy armed with our good isn sense of humour, lack of sleep and wonderful little boy of 13 months old.

I wondered if there were any top tips you might have. We are taking buggy and a pognae.

We are going to South East Asia a mixture of city and beach

Any tips appreciated

We just did flights to Australia with our 8 month old. We bought a couple of new toys to keep him

Entertained. The fabric books are great. We picked up milk, calpol, teething crystals food etc the other side after ordering online fromBoots. Although just realised you're off Tomo ! We also made a kind of tent thing over the bassinet using a newspaper and muslin as otherwise the lights were quite bright at times. It wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be ! Our son was better with jet lag than we were. Have a fun trip !

hi there!

pretty basic stuff, but my major tip for long trips like this is to bring lots and lots of plastic bags. like 10.

in case of accidents or spills / keeping things accounted for and ordered / storing half-eaten snacks for later / on and on, all many of things, it's just great to be able to keep stuff distinct from other stuff.

and ... erm, television. it's on planes that my son learned to love it.

good LUCK

yours!

Yep, interesting snacks, lots of nappies, and the sling is key.

Be super polite and co-operative to the airline staff, they can make a big difference to your flight.

A straw type sippy cup or anything which encourages them to suck (for ears)

iPad / phone with videos, photos. At that age ours liked photos and videos of himself and other babies.

And just do your best. We have done lots of long haul and luck plays a big part.

Have fun!

Just make sure you have enough of everything, like nappies, wipes (especially important), food. New toys, something to chew on while take off and landing. Also enough changes of clothes also very important. And yes plastic bags are usefull as someone menitoned above ;-)

    • Hi  After a surprising split I find myself trying to furnish a home. If you gave anything that you don't want that may help I'd be so so so grateful if you could let me know please.  Thank you so much
    • Hallo As far as I know  info you have quoted is wrong.  You can phone for an appointment although I have always found it easier to do online. Go to their website for info on how to book appointments Any requests I have made have been reviewed and answered by a GP within 4 hours
    • Nadia did a great job tidying up my very very overgrown yard. (See the before and after photos). I live in New Zealand and my tenants said a neighbour has been complaining about the out of control ivy. Nadia was easy to contact so over WhatsApp, managed to liaise between me and my tenants. Her quote was reasonable for the amount of work that needed doing, and the end result is great! She sent photos throughout so I could track progress. Would highly recommend her to others.
    • My car was stolen a few months back from my driveway but I had a tracker and found it in a private car park in Lavender Hill close to the police station. I was lucky. The thieves hide it up against that eventuality. High spec cars are targeted I'm afraid. The way it was stolen required the thieves to wire in their own computer accessing a front light (which had had a metal sheet welded across which they prised off). They had searched for a tracker but not found it. They also had to cut away a steering wheel lock. They had to come well tooled up and briefed to do what they did. Beating them off is non trivial. As I said, them not finding my tracker was just lucky.
