Popped in for the first time last week and it was great - concise but good range and the staff were friendly, and I liked the shop dogs too.

Just as a quick add - their barrels of wine are great. But a bottle for ?2, fill it for ?6 then keep the bottle and refill again for ?6. Plus we tried them before buying!

I was in there when the barrel was being changed - and the barrel is merely an illusion - it opens up and holds a box of wine......

The barrels actually hold the pump and pipe work to bring the vino up from the cellar below. More decoration than illusion...

Love this place. The draught red (currently a spicy-ish Cotes du Rhone)and white are good, and there will soon be a draught ros? (provencal-type) too, which will be chilled. Bruno & Lou are both friendly and willing to talk about any and all of their wines and are open to feedback - which makes a change from "it's what head office send us".

The Beaulieu chocolate is pretty damn good too.

Why not just provide a link to Bruno, or as many other funny Brunos as you like, that we can choose to look at if we like, rather than turning the forum into a comic book. Any of us could make the whole thing unreadable and unpleasant in an instant if we wanted, simply by embedding images that rang a bell in our head.

I popped into Bruno's yesterday and got myself a bottle to fill up. Good house vino. I like the shop. I hope they do some wine tasting nights or mixed cases. I know very little about wine.. Usually whatever is on offer at the CoOp. But willing to learn.
