It's not a bad market, I think the food stalls are ridiculously over-priced regardless of how organic or responsibly sourced the ingredients are; seven notes for a burger or hot-dog??

I only go to spot richard ayoade, seen him three times now. He obviously likes it.

I've just called Southwark council enquiring about a space on the market only to be told its full..... walked down there friday and there was one stall! Does anybody know what the situation is with stallholders who have a spot? Find it very concerning that people who obviously have a space are not turning out regularly and stopping other people getting a space, not very good for what is a popular market.

    • ditto - the lack of respect the organisers / council have for the impact on the wildlife and damage to the park is the reason I protest the Gala on its current site. The noise is secondary
    • Not sure about that - I'm personally not too bothered by the noise, despite living possibly the closest to the site. I am bothered by the impact on all the wildlife, as should hopefully everyone with a conscience and who care about their community?
    • Their coffee and food is delicious. Really nicely decorated cafe with a nice vibe and a great selection of books too. The owner and staff are all very friendly and happy to chat when preparing your order.
    • The venn diagram of people who are personally really bothered by the noise from GALA and are also deeply concerned about the local bat population looks remarkably just like a circle.
