More buses on Route P13 from 22nd March

TfL have announced that Route P13 will have more buses from the 22nd March.

Every 15 minutes during Mon-Sat daytime and every 20 minutes during Sundays and Mon-Sat evenings.

There will be no change to the route.

Is this just a move to cater to North London hipsters wanting to get a cheap bus tour of the backstreets of Peckham?

A Students' Council of 6th Formers from schools along the P13 route have been asking for more buses for over a year. The lack of buses on this route affects hundreds of children at local schools

College Ward Conservatives have also campaigned for an increase in buses on this route also.

this may not be as great as it sounds!!!

duty running times have been cut, breaks & stand times have also been cut.... this means when a bus is running late, due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, the buses will be curtailing part way through their journeys.... which means you are likely to see more buses running out of services!! which also means you need to wait longer for the next bus to arrive....

well the new timetables should bee running in about two weeks time.... lets see what happens????

The timetable has been published. What hasn't changed is the final bus from Streatham to New Cross leaves at the still too early time of 11.05pm.

At least there will be more buses, bit of a nightmare waiting on the P13. Sometimes it does not actually turn up, much needed route, unreliable buses.

If you can get the live bus arrivals on your phone or laptop, it's a godsend. You know exactly when the bus is coming.

In addition to increased buses, later in the year we'll be getting longer single decker buses.

I'll always remember waiting for 50 minutes in the snow with a thin jacket for a P13!

It was only a 25 minute walk but the longer it took the more I was determined to wait! Better now it's more frequent!
