WI embarrassed by dressing as pirates for talk by former Somali pirate hostage. Truly brilliant.

I love how they take a 'if you want to join this band of insensitive nutters..." ad on the end of the piece.

More importantly did they buy them on the cheap? I mean, are they crushed and devalued peas?

Are they crushed by hand in their own kitchen? I

need to know.

Sue - they probably are :))

That's how I do mine, I crush 'em with butter+chilli flakes+mint (a bit Nandos of me but there you go) - delicious.

Mushy peas are a different beast entirely.

Look away now Sue if I were you

I think it means that the last round of incomers (who moved here several years ago) now feel that they've been here long enough to trot out the same kind of stuff that they've forgotten people said about them back when they arrived.

    • Smallish job, would suit a sole trader rather than a Lordship Lane Carpets type company...
    • Sorry this just didn’t seem to belong to request a tradesperson. any good experiences? Not a chiropodist!
    • Crofton Park (borough of Lewisham) has a community notice board which as well as listing councillors is full of notices about local community activities of all sorts and for all ages. It is clean and tidy and only has one small fly poster (attached with one very small piece of tape, and easily removed - I didn't though). Crofton Park also has a lovely little community garden alongside the station, full of flowers, with lots of things of interest to kids,  and also obviously lovingly maintained. I don't know who the land belongs to - possibly the station, though access is via the adjoining road. If Lewisham council/Crofton Park residents can maintain a community notice board, why can't Southwark Council/East Dulwich residents?
