Very worrying subject, but i hope someone would let me know about my dog walker around the general public.

Yesterday morning i was in Peckham Rye park carpark. My dog was on its lead and i was attempting to put her in the car when a large grey/black dog came hurling over. I looked over and saw a dog walker who i have seen many times with around 5 dogs all off lead running through the carpark.

I managed to get my dog into the car and then witnessed a medium sized black fluffy dog jump at the window of a moving car.

The walker did nothing and carried on towards the 1 o'clock club.

As i was leaving the car park, the black dog came running from the old toilet block, straight in front of my car. I stopped the car and called out to the guy that i could have hit his dog. He ignored me and just as i was about to go, the grey/black dog ran from the same area up to the drivers window.

By this stage i was pretty shaken and got out and called to him that i nearly killed 2 dogs because he did not have them on a lead.

He was clearly not going to take responsibility, or even listen to me. All he kept saying was "25 mph".

I sometimes wish my car could do 0 - 100 in less than a second, but in a carpark i think even 25mph is a bit optimistic.

You may know the guy ,italian accent maybe, 40'sh, sometimes walks with another guy with a collie.

Anyway, if you use this walker, beware, dogs should not be allowed to run through carparks , unless you are happy to take responsibilty for their death! :(

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
