Have you ever noticed the similarities in the structure and composition of some of LZ tracks with those of Mountain?

Who came first and who influenced whom I sometimes wonder?

The Jeff Beck Group (with Ronnie Wood on bass and Rod Stewart on vocals) before they split up in '69 paved the way for Led Zeppelin in the States. Zeppelin's first album was a complete rip off of Beck's Truth LP and wasn't half as good.

That's right, PeckhamRose, the theme was called "Nantucket Sleighride" and is slang for its subject matter, whaleing. Fantastic track. I've said elsewhere on the forum what a great guitarist Leslie West is.
