Book on southwark in 1900: the kids from over the water?

The local free paper (southwark news?) recently had an excerpt from a book of which I'm trying to remember the title.

It was a memoir about life in Walworth in 1900, where children from south London were known as "the kids from over the water" or something like that.

I think the title of the book is similarly titled but can't remember the exacta and Google hasn't helped. Can anyone else?

I just bought it on my kindle. Fascinating-I work in the primary school that is mentioned and my mother's side of the family lived in Walworth around that time too.
