If you roll a 12x12 carpet up, into a tube shape say. Stand it on one end, would it not be taller than 10ft though?

I don't understand why you posted this, as it seems you are making fun of someone at Southwark who wasn't perhaps very good at maths, and you appeared to have got one over on him. Why not say that you will fold it in half and then it will be approximately 6 ft.
