USA - with players who generally play for second rate euro teams or in their own domestic league - looked significantly more impressive, energetic, and ambitious than England. They were never going to be serious contenders, but I would happily cheer for them any day.

Only Columbia left. Can they upset the hosts?

I also have a secret bet which I'll come clean on if its still alive after tonight but I suspect it wont :(

I've only got a small bet @ 20/1 but it's not just about the bet.

I actually like the team. Players, the manager, the way they play....

So I also have a dreamteam full of Belgians & I really want to beat the others in my mini-league!

Will be gutted if they lose tomorrow.

    • Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.
    • It’s far too hot. Dogs should not be out and you’re right to post this.
    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
