Although I've totally lost interest since my teams were knocked out:

Would like to see.....

Brazil beat Holland for 3rd place. (because I kind of feel sorry for Brazil now & I really don't like Holland)

Argentina to win (because although Germany are clinically efficient, I've never really liked them)

And let's face it - you have to actually like someone to support/hope they win.

Sorry, can't let that pass. The sins of the fathers cannot be visited on the sons in this case. They are not clinical and far from efficient (ask Ghana) - they are a bit dicey and risky and loose at the back. They are creative and skillful and occasionally wasteful but always 'up for it', always pressing, always trying something even if it fails. They are a true team rather then a collection of overpaid prima donnas and I would rather they won than any of the last four.

"I have said before now that football is a simple game: 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win.

Again, this time I will be very surprised if they don't."

You can guess who wrote the above if you don't know. Not a particularly good idea for Messi's Dad to tell the world how tired his son is. Is he trying to protect him for being a scapegoat if Argentina lose or is he trying to lure the Germans into a false sense of security? He does seem to have run out of juice.

To me everything points to a German win which undoubtedly means they wont. I'm due ?100 if Argentina win from work. Perhaps the betting experts can tell me if I should hedge?

CCat believe I didn't have clinically efficient on this list. Anyone who can describe the Germans tomorrow without using one of the above wins a point.

Germany have their arses hanging out a bit - playing very high up and quite loose, quickly taking throw-ins and free kicks, but the Argentine bus is firmly parked - they're used to not conceding and nicking a one-nil on the break The Argy fellahs). They're missing Khedira (The german fellahs).

edited for clarity of 'they're's

    • Interesting, because I've been going throughout the past few years with different sets of kids and the parents i'm with have always said it's cold. Also spoke to a couple in passing the past weekend and one even said that's why she never brings her 18 month old because it's too cold. Thanks for your feedback. Maybe it's the room temperature that's throwing me off. But the showers are way definitely way warmer than the pool itself.

They printed label and custom form from a QR code and all good, present has arrived, and there was no queue. ETA Actually the main reason I posted this is to reassure those who are put off sending gifts to the US because of all the tariff business, like I was, that it is very straightforward
