I no longer see the details of new threads against the different sectors - ie Lounge, East Dulwich etc. I used to see this update and decide whether to open and have a look see or not. I also used it to control number of unread threads and thus reduce loading time.

Have I done something - or has the system done something?

I'm afraid they were taken off as it causes a high load on the server where this website lives. It runs on a shared server and the other websites that it shares with were being affected so we got told off and had to find ways to reduce the load. The "show the number of threads" feature has to count all the unread posts for each section for each person then show the number and as there's about 2,000 people a day on the site it's quite intensive. We're looking at upgrading the software soon so that feature will come back or we have to move the site to a dedicated server which is about ?900 a year.

So it's something we had to do temporarily to stop the site being taken down, sorry you miss it but we hope to have it back.

    • Thank you - very kind. Indeed! With or without a set of Punto keys, she’s going nowhere under her own steam 😂
    • That's a helpful update. I hope you get it recovered and repaired without further difficulty. Annoying it should have happened just after a service. At least no one could drive it away in the meantime!
    • Hi - a friend sent me this link…   The car is neither abandoned nor stolen! (Nor ever has been, so not sure why that has been suggested). It is mine, I collected it from service (and MOT as identified by some on here) on Friday, driving home it had a bit of a hissy fit and broke down! AA attended on Friday, could not recover it until this morning. Spoken to the nice people inside Westminster carpet on Friday who couldn’t have been kinder, I moved the car back from the doors of the property as best I could without blocking more parking spaces. Recovery should be here imminently. Apologies for any inconvenience.
