Lambeth Town Hall - wedding ceremony venue

I'm just wondering if anyone has got married (or been to a wedding) in Lambeth Town Hall and, if so, what you made of it. We're trying to find a register office-type venue which can accommodate 70-80 people. Our first choice was Southwark but it can only take a maximum of 50 people for a ceremony. We already have our reception venue sorted so are just looking for a SE London venue for the ceremony. Lambeth seems a good choice (close to home) but I'm keen to hear of others' experiences if possible.

I should also add that we're aware the venue isn't renowned for its romantic atmosphere (and this is fine with us) but we're also keen that it doesn't feel too much like you're just getting married in someone's office...!

You should pop in to have a look. We looked round it and were surprised how nice it was.

You can get married in the Council Chambers which is quite cool and has lots of capacity. Congrats!

Its quite nice but the council chamber is a teeny bit tattier than others like Islington. The lobbies etc are lovely, and much nicer than you would expect it being on that crazy junction.
