Looking for a gym with a little more soul!(near Herne Hill)

Hello all, i have recently moved into the area and i am looking for a local gym close to the Herne Hill Station. I am not interested in the Fitness Firsts and boloney like that. Looking more for a gym that has some atmosphere to it, not just a big box format? If you go to a gym like this let me know where it is, and if you know how much membership is?? Thanks in advance!

i'm a female..looking for a decent gym that is not a fitness first some friends have told me about hamlets football club... anybody heard of it?? and is it any any good

It's nowhere near hearne hill station. It's a nice little gym and good value. No pool though!
