Weeping child unable to sleep all night. I'd call Southwark Council but they have to come into your house in an hour to check on the noise and we're all knackered.

Go to bed or go indoors you drunk, inconsiderate, unneighbourly loons at the top of Barry Road.

Sounds like its teens - thanks irresponsible parents who are no doubt snoozing somewhere across town. just had the unfortunate displeasure of hearing your children discuss their sexual habits in loud drunken voices at the bottom of my garden.

I don't fancy it and not sure I'd get anywhere. I'll go and meet their parents tomorrow when the steam's stopped coming out of my ears. Why shouldn't I complain on here? Perhaps their parents read it - or perhaps the parents of these teens do?

very glad mine are not yet quite so rowdy ... Yet, I assume. Though I'm picking up lots of tips about what to talk to my kids about (deluding myself I guess about my parental influence).

My rule of thumb is if it's very occassional or, probably in this instance, kids celebrating the end of their exams, then it's best to not let it worry you. If it was constant or on a regular basis, then I would think it's worth complaining. Let them be teenagers, I'm sure you were one once.

I don't mind teenagers letting off steam and I don't really mind annoyingly loud parties just not midweek. I'm not annoyed with them: unreasonable and inconsiderate is their wont, especially post exam. I am annoyed with the parents who obviously decided that it was perfectly acceptable to let their kids have a party that went on well after midnight and outside mid-week. That really is not ok and its very un-neighbourly. Why not do it on a Friday or Saturday night - or at least be in the house to shepherd the hormone addled poppets indoors at a reasonable hour.

Not especially keen on the example set by the very drunk teenage girl who was bragging - very loudly and very explicitly - to a group of boys about how many times she'd shagged her boyfriend that day with rather a lot of unsavoury detail. Felt a motherly urge to intervene on that one. But didn't.

I think my parental instinct might have kicked in too and I would have told her to have some self respect (and thrown over a king size box of condoms 😉. I like KidKrugers' idea of recording it!

Yes, a girl can enjoy sex with her partner and have a lot of it whilst still having self respect.

Perhaps what bawdy-nan was referring to is the increased objectification of girls and women - and there is a perception that women should be judged on their sexual value. Hence the girl may have felt that the way in which she could best impress her male audience would be to tell them how much sex she was capable of having in one day and how.

Perhaps this is the reference to self respect - you should know you are more than a sex object.

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
