Convex
We always take ours, and it's always been free to take, but you need to check with the airline.Buy a case/bag for it though. david_carnell
Are you hiring a car? Most car hire companies will rent you a seat as well. I've always done it and never had a problem.Costs vary so shop around. enjoy
Most of the car hire companies having unreasonable prices for their car seats. If you can take it for free, its worth considering it.Check prices with airline and car rental. edanna
Yes the car hire seats are very expensive and often very poor quality. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46295-car-seat-on-holiday/#findComment-761396 Share on other sites

shaunag
We bought a lightweight britAx (toddler) seat for travelling-it has been damaged recently but has been on many flights. It was cheaper than buying a decent case, and with all the luggage was easier to transport. It also means our main sear is still in perfect condition for no2. It's also handy for if a pal comes over, and fits with a belt. You can get wrapping done at lots of the airports. snowboarder
Yes - as above we bought a couple of super cheap light car seats for travelling - the cost of buying them was cheaper than hiring just for one trip so I'm not especially precious about them!
