Does anyone know if there are any activities available for toddlers ( under two ) over the summer holidays ?

I can only find lots of things for children 4+ years and all the usual paying classes for toddlers seems to be unavailable during the holidays .

Thanks in advance.

Some local children's centres are running summer activities such as stay and plays. You can find summer timetables for Ivydale (including one o clock club) and Bessemer on their websites. The programme for the libraries summer reading challenge also sounds fantastic, you can get a leaflet there or find details on the Southwark council website. More or less all free stuff.

Camberwell tiny gym is running, all summer except for last two weeks of August. So Thursdays at 10 or 11 and Saturdays 10.15 or 11.15

Also southwark let's go guides have their summer leaflets on line http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200246/activities_and_things_to_do/768/activities_for_under_fives

Hi

Thought I'd jump on this to let you know that The Creation Station is running throughout the summer holidays, as a mum of two myself it does seem that a lot 'shuts down' over the summer so thought I'd keep going......

We are at:

DKH Adventure Playground, Dog Kennel Hill, SE22 8AA on Mondays 10 - 10:50, from 28th July (tomorrow is the normal time of 10:30 - 11:20)

The Scout Hut, 212 Bellenden Road, SE15 4BY on Fridays at 9:40 - 10:30

I am welcoming children up to the age of 8 during the school holidays, don't worry about the little ones though as I will set out different areas for them to create.

Its ?8 a session, siblings ?6.50. I hope to meet some of you soon.

Hi,

I thought I'd also let you know that Rosie and Mae's Messy Play will be holding a Arts, Crafts & Messy Play morning 10am - 11.30am on Wednesday 23rd July at the Rockbourne Youth Centre, 41a Rockbourne Road, SE23 2DA. We'll be helping the children make animal party masks, sparkly bracelets and watches, having fun with jelly, foam, ice, sand, water & gelli baff. Along with lots of painting, colouring and sticking. Perfect for ages 18mths - 6 years. IF you'd like more information or to book a place contact [email protected]

?6.50 plus ?3 per sibling

Baby bop classes are running as normal throughout the holidays, with classes meeting in East Dulwich, Herne Hill and Peckham, designed for babies aged 6 months up to toddlers aged 3 years!

Whippersnappers hold Music Classes over the summer at both College Lodge, Dulwich Park and their studio at Brockwell Lido. I go with my four and two year old and we all absolutely love it! Involves dressing up (them) singing (all) drummimg (all) and lots of imaginative role play, culminating in a little disco with bubbles. They take place Tuesdays, Wednesdays at Brockwell Lido at 10.30, and Thursdays at College Lodge. www.whippersnappers.org for more details.

    • It wasn't an antique and bric-a-bac shop but an antique market with a number of different traders, the cafe supported all the dealers in bringing in custom, and was good enough to generate trade for them. It was Rodney Franklin's and his partners enterprise, he previously had an antique shop in Queenstown Road in Battersea. His late wife ran the cafe (she was a very fine actress, it was a 'resting' job).  It was on the corner of a junction on the left as you head towards Camberwell. And almost opposite, if memory serves at all, an MFI style furniture outlet.
    • i used to go there in the late 80's and '90s (?) the food was served cafeteria style and there was limited choice, but what there was alays tasted amazing!  The garden was an absolute paradise, you could sit in it to lunch in the summer!  i've tried to locate its site but Walworth Road has changed so much since then - does anyone remember the house number?
