Work on La Costa Smeralda site (nunhead)

Hey folks,

There seems to be building work going in at the old La Costa Smerelda site on Nunhead Lane. Anyone got any idea what it's going to be? Fingers crossed for a nice Nunhead restaurant, rather than flats...

I can't find anything on the Southwark planning register for this address so presumably that rules out conversion into flats. Such a great building so hopefully it'll be back open to the public soon, whatever it turns out to be.

It is a great building but it seems a cursed site.

In my 7 years or so in the area I think I can count 5 different ventures there. Only one was really any good and that couldn't make ends meet. It's just in an awkward spot - neither one place nor another.

I always thought it would make a great pool hall with tables in the back room and a bar out the front. It has to be a destination as the footfall is too low otherwise.

When I moved to the area pool tables were exactly what it had in back area. Many a lost afternoon in there
