I thought this was a new drinking den in ED, but then I discovered that they only sell Special Brew !!

As for Santa, why is that an Anagram for SATAN ? is there something we need to tell all little boys and girls that the man in the red suit, who offers you gifts if you keep quiet, is really an evil man and they should scream their heads off if they see him (and I bet the B'stard also eats all the Carrots as well)

I'm sorry LP, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave the Mitzvah.

Try the Humbug up the road. I think you'll be better suited there today.

Kicked out already and it has only just turned midday

Damn, I thought I was doing okay today and was going to make it to 1 before getting barred again....

And while you're at it I want every one of those beans back in the can.

And relations. Don't you just love meeting up with all the dearest Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Step-brothers, half-sisters, long-lost great grandmothers and the rest of the merrie crowd: the catching up, the how-do-you-dos, the cosy by-your-ways, the gift giving, the fond farewells. Thats what brings a sentimental tear to mine honest eye. blub.

Love Christmas! hurrah hurrah hurrah.

And since it is the season of goodwill and joy and peace and love and stuff, I forgive LuvPeckham for having such a punchable nose, and have just landed a delicate butterfly kiss on the end of it.

*spots Bellenden Belle and shoots off sharpish*

Oh, alright I know I've had a couple of more glasses of wine than I should have, but let's tie tinsel round our heads, and get out and have a bit of a bop to some Motown.

Yes you will, Cassidy and you too Abraham, or I'm never speaking to either of you again.

Come on, it's only once a year.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
