Hi,

My 2.5yr old daughter has some problems with saying particular sounds (mostly eee, ooo and y sounds). Her nursery have recommended referring her to the SLT team which is good but I've just spoken to them on the phone and the wait time is 18 weeks.

We are actually leaving the area in 2 months relocating up North and I am wondering if there's anyone she could see privately sooner?

Many thanks

There are free sessions at rye oak primary school called chatter time. There is a speach and language therapist there that you can talk to about any concerns and they give you advice about how parents can help them. We went with our son who is the same age!

Its run termtime only at the children's centre.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
