what seabag said too. soulless horrible place mind you people do have that taste in decor so someone may well live there.

that's why I didn't comment on the awful black walls but now jeremy has I feel I can too, thought it was maybe just me being an old git and not appreciating 'modern' tastes in home decor.

I have no taste... I was all set to paint every single wall in our house with Dulux white emulsion until my wife "put her foot down". I wouldn't usually criticise such things. But black walls... nah. I could understand dark green/maroon/blue in a "formal" lounge or dining room, but not black. Unless, as Otta says, you are a 14 year old boy.

Jeremy, painting everywhere white is actually a good idea in a new place. Live with it for a few months, preferably all 4 seasons, and you'll discover which rooms need 'warming up', 'cooling down' etc...

You're all missing the point. It's not black it's "railings" by Farrow & Ball with a high chalk pigment content.
