Some dodgy old school pub games too though, 'slpat the rat' 'aunt sally' 'tap and spile' or that one where you throw a coin in a box under the dart board maybe?

We wuz robbed - only got given 3 brass coins

I do love this paragraph at then end

"For the last two years the Laughing Fish have won the league, but the game is getting a lot more competitive with teams trying ever harder to improve. Pubs outside the county are also trying to compete, with The Woolpack, Burgess Hill aiming to compete in the near future."

Surprisingly captivating game, especially toward the end of the day. Throw in a High-chair, a thumb sucking rule and it all adds to the glamour.

I'm not so sure. In some ways it is much harder. Just getting out the bloody door becomes a huge challenge.

But you're much more self assured and secure than with the first kid, where everything is new and a bit scary.

But this is rather off topic.

    • Yes, should have given up by now but haven’t. Was waiting for my train yesterday and went into WHS on platform to buy a pack of fags. Almost feel to the floor when guy quoted me £28.00 for a packet of Silk Cut purple. Was a long day for me and thought I had totally misheard him! Asked again, only to be told that that was the price whuch is well over the odds..when I queried it as have bought, admittedly end of last year was told “ this is what management charges”. Surely this can’t be right…fags stayed in WHS paws while I bought some in Herne Hill at normal price. Still reeling over shock…..
    • I use the one in peckham where lidles is they are really good if you need somewhere closer
    • Going to be really inconvenient for folk to go that way as has been stated.. why not just move to Camberwell which I would assume is abit nearer and better travelling wise or have vets in both places from Lordship Lane Branch.. Must have been massive flood if going to take two months to dry out, electrical tests to make sure all good… From upstairs? Or where?
    • @selector73 Thanks!  Because we want him to be treated by the vets that know him we will have to get to the New X branch because thats where the team are based until LL reopens. Thank you again 🙏
