(Boring thread alert) - affixing kids artwork to walls

Recommended Posts

Anyone found a good way to do this? Sellotape obvs ruins the paintwork, and white tack just doesn't seem to stick well enough... I know its a v dull question but is there a better way to get kids' artwork (on paper and cardboard) onto walls?

Is there any way you could incorporate a pin board?

It depends on your space & budget really. I've seen people put up a line along a wall and use clothes pegs. Some companies offer to shrink scanned versions of pictures and then create a montage pictire for you to frame.

The attached picure makes use of an IKEA curtain line and pegs.

Pinterest is bound to have loads of ideas...

Edited to say we're just using sticky tape at the moment but that's on a to-be-decorated surface!

    • Don't forget South end of Underhill Road.  Good sized houses with good sized gardens and short walk to Dulwich park, Dulwich Woods, Horniman and Peckham Rye.  Transport access in five different directions which is super useful and the little P13 gets you to Lordship Lane shops in no time. Easy parking.  IMO a little part of Dulwich underappreciated by some living right near East Dulwich shops but much liked by those that find their way to this quiet corner of Dulwich. Good luck to you
    • SO many different threads for Niko!    This one seems to have the most posts so here is another one... Niko is awesome, super-helpful, decent, easily available and the best plumber bar none. Thanks again Niko!
    • Eh, what are you on about Mal? I thought we were talking about penalties for road users. I am not au fait with traffic penalties in Rwanda, are you? Mind you, with the amount of overseas travel you have flagged up as having done over the years perhaps you do? Either way, seems a bit off piste, even for you.
    • Hi All Following incredible assistance from The Dulwich Society, a visit to the Southwark Archives and lots local insight from this forum, social media and visitors to ed we have created a visual history of ed's home, 41 North Cross Road. We think it looks great, you can see it on our Instagram and Facebook pages: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6UJsC3MDsS/ https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=947290310732033&set=pcb.947290447398686 There is a much less pretty but more detailed version for anyone interested. Many thanks for all your help. Dan
