This is one of my favourite London events and a fantastic chance to see inside buildings that aren't usually open to the public.

What's anyone planning to see?

I can't see another thread on this already so apologies if I'm duplicating.

yep, so we tried to go and see some of the "big" ones (Gerkin, Cheesegrater, Lloyds building) but were way to late, queues were over 1.5 long. But it was still a nice wander, went to Mary-le-bow, where the vicar gave an interesting short talk, then walked along the Thames path - not something we had done for a long time - it seems to have improved.

Next year: have subscribed to the newsletter and hope to be better organised (and get there earlier:)

What did others go & see?

Yes, I was also overwhelmed by all the options and thought it would be easier to access the smaller venue options. I did the Crystal Palace Subway, which was very interesting and informative. I am surprised that it continues to be boarded up; I could imagine the space being used to hold events and cultural activities. However, the tour was a bit underwhelming for me because I had expected to have access to a real subway system, a bit like spelunking or something, which the tour was not. However, the building exhibits beautiful examples of brick and stone craftsmanship and I am glad that I was afforded a chance to see it.

    • Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍
    • Thanks so much I’ll try that too… might still try getting hold of an air purifier as well if at all possible - want to try cover all bases!
    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
