Plumber

I just wanted to add to the many other threads on the forum regarding Darren of Castle Plumbers. I phoned Darren this morning and he came around at tea time to fix a tap that has been "trickling" for some weeks now. Darren repaired the tap very quickly; was extremely pleasant and very reasonably priced. Would certainly use him again. His number is: 07538 723971.

We found Darren via recommendations on here. He came and fixed a leaking toilet cistern for us (which was a bit tricky as it is a concealed cistern and the original fitter hadn't left an inspection panel so access to find the source of the leak was difficult!).

Darren has made us an inspection panel, fixed the leak and made the tiles covering the area tidy again.

His rates are reasonable, he was punctual and polite and most importantly he solved the problem!

I want to add to the recommendations for Darren. Our soil stack needed work but other EDF favourites either said they weren't happy doing work at heights or never came back to us with the promised quote. We asked Darren to take a look while he was sorting out some smaller jobs for us like loose and dripping taps, but assumed he wouldn't be able to do it either.

Not only did he take the job, but he and his son did it in half the time that the other plumbers had suggested it would take. They did a great job, left the area cleared and tidy and even ended up charging us less than his original quote. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

    • What worries me is all the talk of these foreign architectural styles.  Art Deco (French) and Art  Noveau (Belgium - can you even name ten famous poeple from Belgium),   Thank heavens for good old British Arts and Crafts, harking back to previous times.   What do you think those who are asset poor and cash poor may think?  Don't you feel there is a case for evening things out? Get real.  There are numerous anti-Labour threads and a few of you who clearly hate everything Labour, no doubt going back decades.  Not everyone of course who have posted on this weird thread has such strong views.   For balance there are a lesser number of threads on other political parties and a former prime minister, but they attract far less traffic, and one person seems to go out of their way to defend Farage
    • There is a possibility that poor air quality leads to adult onset asthma.  The Lancet did not confirm this and stated that more work was required.  10,000s of deaths are linked to poor air quality.  Surely it is good that our Mayor wants to further improve air quality.  That is the important aim, rather than pick holes in what he said.
