Local Cleaning Agencies/Companies

Looks like I'm going to have to source another cleaner, again.

Frustrated by the sporadic process of dealing directly with individuals, and considering the bonus of having liability insurance etc, I'm thinking of sourcing a cleaner through one of the local cleaning companies (AMW, Radiant Rooms, etc), so would appreciate hearing of others' experiences of dealing with them.

Probably a futile statement, but this isn't an advert for cleaners to pitch to me - per the above, I'm merely interested in receiving feedback & recommendations on local cleaning agencies.

thanks.

I've been using Jane Jefferson Cleaning now after I got fed up of being let down.

Here is their website:

I have found their cleaners very good and Jenn and her team are really helpful. Definitely come recommended from me.

Unfortunately, we used Jane Jefferson for over a year. After lots of staff turnover the most recent cleaner used inappropriate cleaning materials on our natural stone worktop and caused serious damage. After initial agreeing to rectify the damage, once Jenn obtained quotes, they changed their mind, offered us half the costs and then quit and rescinded the offer. We are taking them to court. They clean reasonably well but if a firm isn't prepared to use their liability insurance (which they sent us when we hired them) then its hard to trust that your home is in safe hands.

I have been using Jane Jefferson cleaning for over a year now and have never had a problem with them. Many of my friend Now have Jane Jefferson cleaning there house too. I find the staff incredibly good. I have had many bad cleaners but i have to say these guys are the best i have ever had. I would highly recommend them.

There are lots of different kinds of business insurance that are offered. So, when you become self-employed, you should check and find which cover you need and what type of policy is best for your business. Businesses which are highly at risk from public liability insurance claims are those who have visiting clients or suppliers, even if the business is managed from home. If you will be working at a customer's property or premises, you will also be liable for any damage or injury arising as a result of your work for them. Having a public liability policy in place is not a legal requirement per se, but certain professions will need to have one in order to have an assurance.

    • Greens have some mad polices and I am still trying to work out if it is true that the leader of the party thought he could hypnotize women to have larger breasts 🤷‍♂️ country is in a real state at the min and all party’s have a part to play in that. what the future holds who knows but it is worrying.
    • A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
    • Was a regular haunt of mine for many years and had a lot of fun times in there and some marvellous food down the years. Though, admittedly I spent most of my time in there doing some serious boozing. In recent times I've been a less frequent visitor to this fine establishment. I seriously hope it doesn't change too much. It's always had a good vibe in there and that's down to Tim and Rod and all of the staff who have worked there over the past 26 years.
    • Tom came round today and did a very good job advising on picture and mirror placements, and hanging several pieces. Will definitely ask him back to do a few more once we have them framed.
