Oooh, do we get to chose?

A vietnames who'd be great.

As for chopsticks, the people were really lovely but the food was awfully bland. It was a shame.

I know this has cropped up on the forum before but went to Gold Lee for the first time other night, food was excellent... the interior is a bit bright and 'standard', a few tea lights and a dimmer switch would transform the place for the evening... but go... try it... see what you think... happy eating folks xcc

I only tried take away from chopsticks. I think it tasted ok but nothing special.

Yes, Vietnamese and Korean would be nice. I used to live in Canada Water, there is a very nice Vietnamese restaurant called Cafe East, very small but the food was amazing. I cant find anything like that around here. To be honest, it is quite hard to find a decent orential restaurant in ED... how sad :(

From one cherry to another, I completely agree Cherrybear,

I am a massive fan of East Asian food. In fact I am such a massive fan I could eat it all day, every day. >:D<

Any kind of East Asian food and I am happy - as long as it's good quality.

But I think you are right, There really isn't as much here in ED, either different kinds of food or of decent quality. It seems to be all about the Indian here, which I don't mind too much, but I do find Indian food pretty samey.

My favourite so far since moving here is Mr Lee, there squaab (sp?) is really really good.

Haha thanks VeryBerryCherry. I love East Aisan food too (maybe because I am from Hong Kong (tu))

I dont mind curry at all, but I would love to see more varieties. I think Cafe Noodle is ok, the stir-fry noodle/rice dishes are nice (and cheap as well!). But only if you want a quick bite instead of a proper sit down meal.

    • Is the budget unremarkable? I would say slapping huge tax increases on businesses and working people to give 30 billion away to people on benefits is worthy of remark.
    • Susan Hall issued campaign leaflets that resembled penalty charge notices and claimed Khan had a "secret plan" for pay-per-mile charging. It was totally made up /  a lie. ...and on the susbstance of pay per mile (or rather, what I'd like to see in time - dynamic road pricing) - is clearly the best way to manage road use.  Had Hall been voted in we would now have dirtier air and more ill health.
    • Zipcar have just announced they are going to cease all UK operations.
    • Yes, I agree with this, it's been very odd indeed. Why did they fly so many kites and brief for so long before the budget? And why was she set on raising income tax, even tho the OBR had upgraded the forecast? And why the speech (which apparently caused gilts to fall), and then the retraction? And then why the business about mansplaining and misogyny in the Treasury? It's been totally baffling, esp when you consider that, in the end, the budget was quite unremarkable.  But I do see that, if Reeves had revealed that the forecast wasn't so bad, but that she wanted to keep enough headroom anyway, it would have gone down like a bag of sick with the media. She was damned either way.  All this briefing and flip-flopping has just slowed the markets and probably spurred people on to move savings and pensions, hold off on selling their house / buying etc.
