Jeremy
Thai corner - hit and miss. Thought it was a real gem when I first tried it, but after the last meal, I wouldn't bother again any time soon. lozzyloz
Agree Jeremy. TCC have lost it over the last year. Shame, because I don't think much of the remaining local offerings either. Just have to continue making my own. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5003-no-more-chopsticks/page/2/#findComment-163191 Share on other sites

charliecharlie
I know this has cropped up on the forum before but went to Gold Lee for the first time other night, food was excellent... the interior is a bit bright and 'standard', a few tea lights and a dimmer switch would transform the place for the evening... but go... try it... see what you think... happy eating folks xcchttp://trustedplaces.com/review/uk/london/restaurant/1o4237z/gold-lee Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5003-no-more-chopsticks/page/2/#findComment-163196 Share on other sites
cherrybear
I only tried take away from chopsticks. I think it tasted ok but nothing special. Yes, Vietnamese and Korean would be nice. I used to live in Canada Water, there is a very nice Vietnamese restaurant called Cafe East, very small but the food was amazing. I cant find anything like that around here. To be honest, it is quite hard to find a decent orential restaurant in ED... how sad :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5003-no-more-chopsticks/page/2/#findComment-163199 Share on other sites
VeryBerryCherry
From one cherry to another, I completely agree Cherrybear,I am a massive fan of East Asian food. In fact I am such a massive fan I could eat it all day, every day. >:D<Any kind of East Asian food and I am happy - as long as it's good quality. But I think you are right, There really isn't as much here in ED, either different kinds of food or of decent quality. It seems to be all about the Indian here, which I don't mind too much, but I do find Indian food pretty samey. My favourite so far since moving here is Mr Lee, there squaab (sp?) is really really good. cherrybear
Haha thanks VeryBerryCherry. I love East Aisan food too (maybe because I am from Hong Kong (tu))I dont mind curry at all, but I would love to see more varieties. I think Cafe Noodle is ok, the stir-fry noodle/rice dishes are nice (and cheap as well!). But only if you want a quick bite instead of a proper sit down meal. Sue
If Cafe Noodle is the place near Chandelier, both my partner and I had violent stomach upsets after having lunch there.
