Our banner from last night. Spent hours making this, but we got a mention in two papers, so the sore fingers and late nights were worth it.

Was going to post a picture of it, but the file is too large. Oh well.......

Posting this here as well as the Wanted section. I have a single spare to the Semi-final this Saturday in the Arsenal end. Ace seats in block 120, 15 rows back. I only want face value, which is ?58 including all the rip-off booking fees and other bullsh1t. No probs if you are a Chav fan and want to come, just be aware that you are in the Arsenal end so no blue to be worn, or songs about flags.....

PM me if interested

2 mentions is good going. You never know it may become another "Joey ate the frogs legs"

Any Rugby fans out there who sup their pints of bitter and insist on how cultured and well behaved a sport it is, compared to football, just because they don't argue with the Referee!?

Check this out - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7997013.stm

West Ham United will be taken over by a consortium of international banks in the coming weeks. Icelandic government-appointed officials running the stricken investment bank Straumur are set to take control from Bjorgolfur ?Gudmundsson at Upton Park as they seek to recover the money lost in the collapse of that nation's economy.

Oh dear looks like Big Sam and Fergie have got together to orchestrate a few headlines about Rafa being arrogant and disrespectful. As ever pots calling the kettle black...

I know he is in exile, but I wonder what Sandperson would say about which of Fergie and Rafa is the one cracking up now!?

Haha, okay..

But rather bizarre that they both comment on same subject. Only last week Big Sam, before playing Liverpool, boasted about getting under skins of other managers but never being affected himself... I really don't know why Fergie has allowed himself to make such remarks before an FA Cup semi final, especially when he poked fun at Rafa doing same thing before 1st leg against Chelsea rather than concentrating on matter in hand.

    • Off topic, but when I was a kid in Streatham, long ago, apart from the milkman (rarely if ever milkwoman),  who also delivered yoghurt - very exotic - in little glass jars, we also had regular deliveries of coal, bread and cheesecakes (not the kind we know now, they had coconut on top), fruit and veg,  and paraffin (both pink and blue). I'm not entirely sure we have lost "something amazing" by buying milk in shops. The glass bottles were left on the doorstep and the metallic tops were pecked through by birds getting at the cream/milk. Or else the bottles were nicked.  And then there was the rag and bone man.... bell and horse and cart, just like Steptoe. God I'm old. We didn't have supermarket deliveries. We didn't have supermarkets. I remember the first supermarket opening in Streatham. It  was quite amazing having to walk round and  put your own shopping in a basket. As you were ..... Sorry OP and admin.
    • Yep, I hear you. Been waiting for modern milkman to these parts and plan to try them out. I still remember Dennis, our Egg-man, from my childhood, who used to deliver dozens in his Citroen 2C and came to collect the boxes the following week. Happy Days.
    • I always feel we lost something amazing when we moved away from home milk delivery with glass bottles using electric floats to driving to supermarkets and buying milk in plastic bottles. Hindsight says we should have valued the good old milky more
