Hello neighbours!

A bit of a soppy post- after 11 happy years, our dog who was a rescue staffy from Battersea Dogs Home passed away in January.

Due to various reasons we are not currently in a position to take on another dog right now, so I thought I'd see if there is anyone with a dog who needs it looking after from time to time or over weekends etc as I would love to help! This will also help me fill the dog shaped hole in my life!

Awwww Themorgannons, I'm so sorry :( I lost my staffy when he was 18 years old, I had him longer than my kids! It's truly heart breaking. What a great idea you have, helping 2 people at once...... I hope you get a doggy back in your life soon :)

You're welcome to borrow my dog. He's a castrated, 8 year old staff cross named Hannibal and is a lot better mannered than his name might suggest!

Really sorry to hear about your dog. Have you thought about helping at a dog rescue centre with walking their dogs and spending time with them?

Wow thanks for all the responses! My "win the lottery" dream / retirement plan is to basically spend my time at Battersea but as I'm a long way off that and can't commit to loads of hours regularly, this is the next best thing and it's free and local :)
