Well it's no wonder they're confused, they say 'caretaker', you say 'concierge'. It can lead to all sorts of misunderstandings.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't started fomenting the recent unrest about that Totale company bringing in foreign workers and all that malarkey.

I'm not holding you directly responsible, of course. Not directly. Not completely.

But in future, think before you Frenchify, it can lead to faux pas.

PGC - you describe my neighbour! i had to threaten them with a 5000? fine from the council in the end.

He is beyond any doubt the most selfish person i have EVER come across. If / when he moves back in im sure it will be a suitably horrible place to live for him...

grrr (yes i tried to reason with the idiot but couldnt find a brain cell after 3 separate attempts of having the door slammed in my face..)

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
