Funny or Evil?

Maybe it's the lack of maternal instinct (or the child inside me that refuses to grow up) but I find this absolutely hilarious.

Now clearly there is prompting from her mother here, which I think is the best part. And it got me thinking...

Have you ever made your kids do evil/funny/naughty things? That you know as a "proper grown-up" you shouldn't really, but you found it funny. (And obviously, I'm not talking the realms of child abuse here - although some may think this sketch is).

Or did your parents ever do something to you that was mortifyingly embarrassing?

We ...thats me an my 2 pups bought "fake cigs" you know the one s where talc puffs out the end , then drove around Greenwich last summer windows down "puffin" away nonchalantly.........freakin out the tourists ......

Ohhhhh ...what a fun we had.....

Woof

That's genius WMTG.

It was the snow yesterday that made me think about this subject, and brought back some mememories. I have always hated the snow, I don't know why. I hate the way it sounds, that squeaky runchy sound like someone taking off woolly gloves with their teeth. So I avoid the snow at all costs. It was only recently that my mum told me that in the winter of 1982/3 I was nearly 2 and it snowed a lot. So they bundled me up in jacket and coat, made me a snowman and trust me outside and onto the snow. Typically kiddy reaction: I freaked out and cried, and cried and cried... Normal parent reaction: Pick up said crying kid and take her inside.

My parents reaction: head in side, leave me outside, lock door, go and get camera.

We had one of those glass panelled back doors and they have pohotos of me standing rooted to the spot in fear, face all scrunched up under my hood. Then photos of my scratching at the door to get in, while they carry on taking pictures!

Scared for life, I tell thee!

Grrr woof

Our other caper is to get on a busy (ish) train/bus......and in your best 'kentish officious voice" say...

"Can I see your tickets pleazzzze" then look back over your shoulder as if to "Find" who said it......whilst every one shuffles around trying to find their passes & ticket......

....Sneeee heee how we love dat one....naughty dogs.....& pups ....

Grrr sniggggrzzzzzz

    • I’m broadly in agreement with you, Dogkennelhillbilly. But why the meme? It’s a very unfair representation of Sean Dyche, a man who to my knowledge has never engaged in any culture war bollocks. From his Wikipedia entry: Dyche features in an internet meme criticising modern trends in football, in which the phrase "utter woke nonsense" is attributed to him; he said "I wish I'd copyrighted it. Considering I didn’t actually say it, it does follow me around".
    • Whisky Macs, like Harvey's Bristol Cream and Cinzano Bianco & lemonade, are a taste of Christmas past sadly lost to many. A little Whisky Mac and icing sugar whisked through whipping cream makes a festive accompaniment to stollen or Christmas pudding.
    • Legal matters are notoriously slow.  There is no rule that communication has to be via email, fax or letter. If the issue is that you want to claim damages to the property because of poor practice, you would have to lodge a complaint with the ombudsman, but surely the one to suffer the most is the “gold digger” beneficiary?    If that is not the wrong that needs righting, what is?
