Is there anywhere in ED that makes nice cakes.... By nice I mean posh cakes for this afternoons high tea...?

I would head straight to Au Ciel - the patiserie on Calton Avenue towards Dulwich Village. They make scrummy posh cakes...

The bakery stall on North Cross Road on Fridays & Saturdays does a terrific chocolate cake.....

It does indeed - scrummy, but Au Ciel sells cake that require a cup of Earl Grey in a china cup, preceeded by cucumber sandwiches with no crusts - and I thought that this was the look Jimbo was trying to achieve. Delicate pretentious confections - a bit like me!
