Louisa
You must have seen me I was in my fake fur coat and I had my hair up. All three guys were behind the counter and they always have banter with me when I attempt to ask for my kebab in Turkish (they all start laughing no idea why). Louisa. Alex K
And, with a S?ghegyi furmint (2011) that also accompanied a starter of six Galway Bay oysters on the half-shell, I had parsley-and-ricotta agnolotti, from Burro e Salvia, with coarsely ground black pepper and (yes!) butter and fresh sage, along with lightly poached asparagus spears. I feel so... dirty. So... posh. It won't happen again. Louisa
Fox you speak fluent Turkish? I've got limited Turkish from trips to Istanbul in the 70s/80s. When I say limited, it's exceptionally limited ha. KK I must have been in just before you then there were two guys in when I was there, you really wouldn't miss me, in fact youd probably see me in there and think I had issues with alcohol (always off my face when I'm in there). goosey-goosey
Back to pasta (for a bit)... Just a callout to the nice folks with the small stall on NXR market. I bought some lovely ravioli there on Saturday. Somewhere pricewise between Sainsburys and B&S, I reckon. jimbo1964
Has anyone eaten in at Burro e Salvia yet? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/51691-burro-e-salvia-is-coming-to-east-dulwich/page/9/#findComment-822171 Share on other sites
katanita
Not eaten in yet. I did ask whether you could bring back the cartons for refilling and they said yes, they hoped people would. Should offer a discount if you do... Still hoping they start offering a wider range of non-meat options too, bit sparse so far when I've been in.
