Religion Fights Back

While I would never recommend the Daily Mail as a source - I heard this news on the radio and this was the only item that came up in a web search.

However, to match the ASA ruling for Atheist groups - shouldn't the Christian slogan read "There is probably a God" since, by definition neither atheists nor those that believe in a god / God can prove their case?

edited to correct typo SAS to ASA!

Interesting and following on from MM's post

the article reads that the bus slogan will be

"There definitely is a God. So join the Christian Party and enjoy your life"

Now I am not educated in law or advertising standards, but the use of the word DEFINITELY means that it is something that can be proved and as such the advert could be classed as misleading

I wonder how many complaints they get that thew advert is misleading, misadvertising or potentially false and if the ASA are then forced to uphold those complaints and force the withdrawl of the advert ?

Holding breath till I either see the outcome of this or accidently discover for myself which side is right concerning Gods existance.

    • The first 9 months hasn't been a total calamity - not if you compare it to what came before. People have lost all sense of proportionality if they think Labour are THAT bad But If 2015 went differently we would have avoided Corbyn Brexit 5 prime ministers in 6 years   seems like a fair trade

    • probably voting them back in cause they didn't want the alternative, which we now have and look what an utter balls up they've made in the first 9 months, a total calamity. If their aim was to "pee" off every bit of society then they have well and truly succeeded. The next General election can't come quick enough to see this lot booted out, and based on current performance, they've made it clear to the electorate that they are not to be trusted and will be in opposition for many, many, many years.
    • Thank you so much for that link. I had no idea they were there. Also there's a brilliant video on their website about making environmentally friendly gardens, both the hard landscaping materials and the plants used. I learned a lot. Though it was a bit disconcerting hearing someone talk with a fraightfully posh accent  exactly like the late Queen. I will definitely be visiting!
