Valentines romantic getaway. HELP WANTED URGENTLY!

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

I know it's short notice but I'm looking to go away this weekend with my boyfriend but don't have a clue where to go. Can you suggest somewhere? It doesn't matter where it is just so long as it's in the UK. What's the most romantic place you've stayed in??? Recommendations desperatly needed. The more suggestions the better.

Thank you.

Kirsty

Sorry Kirsty,

Teh Crazybear in Oxford is quite nice

This is a good site for lastminute

It doesn't help that it's a Saturday night though because I think more people will go away this year. All the more reason to stay home and....

Good luck.

GG sounds like you have Valentines night sorted then.

We found this place by accident whilst drivin round Devon ( Yeah this dog drives..grr.) It has become our favorite place and others have stayed and loved it too. It's run by an eccentric Aussie couple so quite casual in a way, at night if you sit reading in the library and the windows are open bats fly in and out " ohh yes sir.....quite normal bats in the library"...

Hmm now I think about it I really want to go back soon...

Combe House in Gittisham, Devon, see it on [email protected]........ It is really luuuuuvly darling..

weirdly also by accident whilst looking found another combehouse.co.uk which looks "nice" (well you know what I mean).... also

See what you think

Woof

Wow, so many good suggestions guys, thank you sooo much, I'm frantically trying to look through them all now. Keep me posted if you thinks of any more. I'm thinking i'm going to have to visit all of these at some point this year they all look so nice. :))

    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
    • Hey, I am interested. I had started a club last year however everyone slowly dropped off but I am always up for morning runs and some evening runs too.
