This is a lovely picture of the Salvation Army dishing out tea to a family who have been bombed out. The caption says that the picture was taken in Dulwich...can any of our historians pinpoint the location?

So perhaps look at each location in turn and you'll get close.

My partner's family were Sally Army :) Not round here though. The SA did/still do a lot of good practical work in helping people.

I'd say it's Lytcott Grove, going by the detail on the door lintels, which resemble those on nearby Melbourne Grove. It was flattened by a V1.

It's shawbury road I used to. Go there when I was a little girl.

that one certainly doesn't show the bomb that fell bewteen CP Road and Darrell, demolishing and damaging terraced housing on CP, Darrell, Hindmans - Bizarrely the CPT still stood whereas houses on the other side of it from the explosion were damaged severaly (including mine).

Still a useful map tho - for gauging how many / the spread of hits !

The link is to a website that shows bomb damage during the Blitz 1940-41. There's another website that lists damage done in 1944 by V1 and V2 rockets.
