Why CitizenED!

I had no idea that you were such stunning eye candy! Why don't you come to BMF too? I am sure that we could swing some sort of group discount for EDForumites!

Sorry mate, but I reckoned you deserved it, wearing those shabby jeans with so many holes in. And where was your belt?! Shocking. Still, it certainly gave DM a thrill, judging by her post above... on that subject, I can't believe she's suggesting swinging.... does that kind of thing really happen behind those rustic-green doors of Dulwich Village? Unbelievable....

I would never put my perfect young family in any danger Brum dear. My life in SE21 makes Kimora Lee Simmons "Life in the fab lane" look like Coronation Street (sigh). That poor unattractive woman has no idea of the meaning of fabulosity!

Kalam dear,

Apparently navy blue is the colour du jour, but it is not for everyone. I favour chocolate brown for my toes and a pristine chocolate manicure on my fingers too - although that seems to be a rather unforgiving colour when it comes to the occasional chip! I generally have a manicure each Saturday and then go for nude shades from Wednesday onwards (I apply this myself mid-week since the credit crunch). My underwear always, always co-ordinates, but usually not with my nails. Right now I am loving the Glamorous Amorous Website, and my new Beau Bra - but not for training in - clearly! I could catch those ribbons in the under growth in Dulwich Park!

This seems a bit late in the thread but I went along to that British Military Fitness training.

I would suggest having your manicure after attending the Saturday session as it was a bit strenuous.

But fun! and there were fit types of all gender for eye candy. and you get to hold hands sometimes. So it's worth doing.

I told my two sisters about it and they are both going to have a trial class, you should have seen their eyes lit up when I mentioned an army instructor and lots of rolling in the grass!

I can only dream about it, my turn shall come one day!

Oh Brum, I simply can't find a thing to wear! I want to look sexy and sporty and yet casual and windswept - I was hoping to purchase a luxurious cashmere tracksuit in a pastel shade of blue, but Joseph are out of stock and all I can find is this vile trendy ensemble! I found a knitted tracksuit at The White Company but they only have it in grey.

I am at a loss (sob). I have an early hair appointment with Max for a blow dry (the darling managed to squeeze me in) at Peter John in Albemarle Street at 8.30 on Saturday, and I am having my spray tan on Friday evening after work at Jo Partridge on Croxted Road - but I still can't seem to locate the right outfit. Help (gulp)!

Oh Brum darling,

Are you sure about the head and wrist bands? I am afraid that the 1970's look is incredibly passee. I may go for a figure skimming silk jersey ensemble instead... I shall pop to Sloane Square on Thursday (late night shopping) to purchase a pair of Spanx. I will look simply stunning on Saturday morning (smirk).

You boys have no idea of the care that the ladies of SE21 take. We never ever wear Crocs - there is no place in my wardrobe for shoes that can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

So DM, back to the spanx. Are you really sure? Really?

All this preparation for the big Event is well and good, but am I right in thinking that the next BMF sessions occur during the week and that the Saturday one was a one-off to drum up volunteers? I'd hate to think you stood there in the Park, looking stunning, with no-one to admire you - except for the lads turning up for their Saturday football match....!

Oh no! I am a professional working woman, I cannot do week day mornings. I shall go to Battersea Park tomorrow night. I haven't even managed to get a damn spray tan. Please excuse me, I am off to drag the au pair out of her bed and to my en-suite to apply my San-Tropez tan. What am I going to wear now!

    • A new roadmap (surely railmap?!) for rail accessibility has been published: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/accessible-railways-roadmap It says "approximately 56% of stations and around 66% of the 1.3 billion journeys that take place on the network have step-free access to platforms...  "£373 million has been committed over the next 5 years to deliver Access for All projects, providing step-free access from station entrances to and between platforms, alongside other essential accessibility upgrades. These works, together, will increase the number of step-free stations across Great Britain from 56% to 58%. "This improvement will make travel easier with step-free access available at stations covering an increased share of total rail journeys – from 66% up to 71%" Don't know what that means for us here: upgrading Peckham Rye would cover a lot of rail journeys but the cost has no doubt increased from the £40m figure previously quoted. So that would eat into a lot of the funding.

    • I would recommend the Dulwich Test and Service centre that used to be in Hindemanns road and then moved to the little Trading Estate off Tyrrel Road. I've used them very happily for nearly 40 years. Paul and Reg Shires.
