Hello

We meet at the Clocktower monthly to discuss books and follow-up with the quiz. We can certainly improve both our chat and score, so please join us.

The next meeting is Tuesday 3rd March at 19.00. We are reading Ian McEwen's A Children Act. The quiz starts at 20.30, but if you don't fancy it please just stay for the discussion.

We are a nice small group and we do not want to get too big (otherwise not everyone gets to share), but we would like a few more new faces and views.

DM me for more info.

Nicola

    • There's a ?new Radio 4 short documentary programme, The Cat Killer Detectives, that might be of interest to some. It talks to the couple who ran SNARL, and provides something of their account of how the project began, developed and ended, and the effect it had on their lives then and subsequently.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002j5nr

    • Hi all, it’s been a while since I last posted so I thought I’d provide a quick update on what we now can offer. Alongside the usual bespoke joinery (wardrobes, bookcases, alcove units etc), I’m now also working with a wider range of veneered boards (ash, maple, walnut, etc.) as well as fluted/reeded panels for anyone after a more textured, high-end finish. I’ve also been adding more lighting options to my fitted furniture – warm white LED strips with sensors or remote controls, ideal for wardrobes and bookcases. They make a huge difference once fitted and really elevate a space. If you’re planning a project and would like to explore these options, please feel free to get in touch.
