I am glued to gum tree, and have attached a photo of the bike in case anyone is offered it. But I mainly just came to post my thanks.

Thank you to the man who gave chase.

Thank you to the woman who tried to knock them off and who hung around in an increasingly dark and chilly park to give a statement to the police.

Thank you to the woman in the cafe who gave me a free coffee while I waited for the police to arrive.

Thanks to the police who turned up very speedily, considering it was only a bike theft and I'd only rung 101.

Thank you to the friend who looked after my daughter when I realised I wouldn't be home in time to meet her.

And thank you to the other friend who offered to lend me his bike.

When something shitty happens it's nice to know that the good guys still significantly outnumber the bad.

sorry to hear about this! I go there everyday and leave my dog outside while i grab a coffee - i will definitely be more careful now (i know it is two different things but you never know what people will try and steal!)

People can be such pieces of s*** sometimes!!!

    • I totally agree it just seems that it a thing nowadays.  It must be due to how fireworks are sold.

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
