Sorehead
What's the general opinion of the Herne Tavern since new management took over? I went in there the other day and thought the food had taken a turn for the worst. I'd be interested to hear any if anyone else feels the same? lucky
The food was not all that when the previous owner was there. I like the new management. Very friendly bar staff. I can't comment about the quality of the food they offer as I have not eaten there recently. Maybe it will help if more people went to The Herne in support of a local business and any comments regarding food quality were put directly in writing to the manager with positive suggestions and encouragement. Jah Lush
What Lucky said.And:-Call me old fashioned but I don't go to a pub to eat food. I go to drink beer and they have a very nice little selection of ales at The Herne. ech
We went to the Herne for a Sunday roast and it was without question the best we've had round here in ages. The starters were delicious, the portions huge and it was perfectly cooked. I thought the food under the previous management wasn't great and was very overpriced. It was also great to see a packed pub with plenty of people just drinking at the bar (a rarity round here these days) staff were really friendly and helpful. Good luck to the new team. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/55659-herne-tavern/#findComment-833567 Share on other sites
