Anyone who's reviewing this place on Tripadvisor basically went there by accident. This is not somewhere you stay for a "trip". Really the guy working there should have explained the actual nature of the business, and suggested they find somewhere more suitable.

Hilarious reviews - you have to feel sorry for those people!

The best part is it is actually only rated No. 373 of 522 B&Bs/Inns in London. I cringe when thinking what the other 149 must be like!

I don't think it should ever have been called a 'hotel', very misleading. Must have been an awful shock to all those who had the misfortune to book at what they thought might be a lovely quaint East Dulwich Hotel (lol)

I'm keen on buying it with other locals and redevoping it back into 4 houses.

I've already got some people interested and just need a few more to make it happen.

And theres no longer the delightful Shepherds of Marmora Rd anymore. There were bats circling overhead and the rats on the window sill looked in feeling sorry for breakfast guests.

Is it staying a hotel or are there other plans for it ?

The sale must still be going through the legal process as it is not listed with the Land Registry yet... there is still a "Sold" sign outside.

there were a lot of people living there - wonder what will happen to them?

guessing no new people can come to London unless they've got serious money to start.....

I believe it sold for circa 1.65M. Given the amount of work/ hassle required that's not exactly a steal.
