How many more times must we participate in this fruitless round of clock changing?

Why are we not on 'eurotime' like the rest of our European trading partners?

Was it really caused by a handful of Scots farmers?

We haven't changed the dialling codes for a couple of years either, isn't it time we changed them too,

if only to make trading more difficult for the long suffering exporters.

No! No, I'm not cynical.

Apparently nothing to do with the Scottish or farmers.

Instead it was implemented to lower demands on fuel for lighting and heating during wartime.

It was invented by one of those English whackos who thought everybody was wasting the best part of the day in bed, but only enacted initially by the Prussians with their teutonic quest for economic efficiency. Then we thought it was a smart idea, so copied them copying us.

For some unexplained reason, I completely forgot to change my clocks - all day. Result? I missed my 5pm train to Lincoln and ended up on a later - and much, much slower - train that took me to Grantham then Nottingham (where I waited for an hour). Now this is, I assure you, a minor lapse so please don't think I'm just a stereotypical Benny-from-Crossroads-type Brummie.

Has anyone seen my woolly hat?

Woke up early as usual............headed to the bathroom.....ahh bliss...slowly slipped into a glorious "after pee" sleep & the boys were at "nana's"so drifted deeper into paradise..........Lahhh

ZZZZZZ phone rings.......and I answer .....F*CK I am meant to meet the fitter on site an hour ago, forgot to adjust clocks. This guy never works on a sunday & now I'm late..........SH*T

Worked from 9.00am through to 1.00 am. next day

Still happy client today

Maybe one day your dream may come true, with the ever increasing mid atlanic ridge and continental drift. You will have to wait a few million years tho'.......

    • Maggie Browning a DH councillor recently had a baby and I believe plans to return to work. I think that to have the additional stress of  being a councillor, a new mother and having a job is a good reason for not standing again. Maggie was one of the few labour councillors who were approachable, acted on your behalf in regards to several concerns and appeared at various public events i.e Police SNT Meetings, community events etc. Have met one of the new prospective councillors and introduced her to various community based organisations.
    • Hello, I’m currently looking to buy Jellycat soft toys and LEGO sets for my children. If you have any available for sale, please feel free to message me. Thank you!
    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
