editorialmoo
Hiya,We are looking to book a last minute break, not too far from London suitable for a 3 year old and 1 year old. Ideally somewhere with facilities for kids but a bit rustic and relaxed and good value for money. Possibly searching for the Holy Grail of holidays but thought I'd put it out there! Thanks! BeccaL
You might find "good value for money" and "near London" a bit conflicting! Whitstable, Deal, Camber Sands, Aldeburgh, Southwold all nice but not terribly cheap (except caravan park at Camber Sands) - all less than 2 hours from London (Deal and Whitstable more like 1.5 hours). However, the saving in travelling time/hassle is a distinct bonus if you can find somewhere affordable... Dymchurch (Kent coast, near Folkestone) has a lovely kids funfair and a big sandy beach as well as a small railway but you probably wouldn't want to stay there for a week.If you're looking at the moment you might get better prices as going out of school holidays? Hope you find somewhere nice.
Mellors
Featherdown Farms are ace fun (but not cheap) - they often have deals in May/June.Centreparcs in Suffolk/Woburn isn't far, and is cheap(er) out of school holidays.

esme
We stayed at Honeysuckle Cottages in Glastonbury and had a lovely time. Quite a drive but you can break up the journey - http://www.honeysucklefarmcottages.co.uk/
